Custom Furniture
Since mother nature ages wood over a long time, it's beauty is unmatched. Millwood takes pride in the fact that we preserve this beauty and make it stand out in our furniture pieces. Since all our wood is reclaimed, our product naturally has an aged and rustic look. We can keep the surface rough, or clean and smooth upon your request. Oftentimes we create a 'middle of the road' look where the wood is clean, but maintains the integrity of the texture and grain through power treatments.
The beauty of custom work is that one can obtain pieces that meet one's detailed specifications. In addition to our professional expertise and experience, we also offer an extensive resource library as well as hardware catalogs to help you make the right choices in designing your furniture.
When placing an order, think ahead about your design of choice, hardware, finish and species of wood. Remember to measure the place in your home where your new furniture needs to go and determine the size, or we'll come to assess and help you determine the size.

Upon completion of the furniture, all customers receive a 'Wood Resource History' and a 'Certificate of Authenticity'. The Wood Resource History tells you where the wood came from. It includes a picture of the building and when we're able to retrace it's history, tells about the people and purpose of it's past. The Certificate of Authenticity states this piece was truly handmade and reveals how many of this item were built. So far, the most we have made of anything was 3. Mass production is not in our bag of tricks.
